Cosmic is a typeface built from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, using modules to create consistency within throughout the letters. The typeface was sparked by and interest in Retro Futurism, a style originated by the rapid advancement of technology in the 1920s, and inspired by research on mid-century modern furniture, graphic design, and old TV shows like The Jetsons!
A common design element in mid-century modern graphic design being a four point star, each letter of the typeface is based around a groove that perfectly holds the shape of a star, resulting in a decorative typeface designed for headlines that welcomes design elements woven throughout.
