YOU’RE GOLDEN
User experience, User Interface, Usable prototype, Branding
‘You’re Golden’ is a mental health app that encourages daily self-care practice and specialises in panic and anxiety attack coping mechanisms and education. The target audience for this app is a wide range of people ages 15-60, who would benefit from an outlet to improve their mental health. The design challenge is to create an app that accommodates all users and provides an incentive to return to the app.

BRANDING
The app is branded with elements that resemble a sunset, which allows the app to be a soothing space to focus on self-care, whatever that may look like for the user. The app is designed with a monetary reward system through insurance to encourage users to spend more time on themselves and, therefore, on the app.
FUNCTION
The app has sections for different learning and relaxation opportunities. The main navigation has ‘info’, ‘help’, ‘activity’, and ‘favs’ sections. The app is meant to be an extensive hub for well-being. Whether you prefer to read, watch, journal, get exercise, or need an emergency function, You’re Golden has you covered.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Two of my main focuses in creating this app design were the user experience (UX) and the user interface (UI). In order to create a functional prototype, I utilised Adobe XD to wireframe over 70 designed screens together, as shown, in a fashion that creates a comfortable experience.
Since this app will be used by those interested in bettering their health, users will be in search of an app that runs smoothly and is please to the nervous system. Because of this, clarity in organization of the information offered was essential to focus on. The app provides extensive material to cover different methods of coping with anxiety and panic is the main priority.
